About John Kriak
Before beginning his career in medical education, Dr. John Kriak attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For two years, he sat on the school’s Admissions and Recruitment Committee before graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Pharmacy and unofficially minoring in Business Management. After completing his studies, Dr. Kriak enrolled in pharmacy school at Duquesne and studied critical care, cardiology, oncology, nutrition, pediatrics, and ambulatory care at multiple hospitals throughout Pennsylvania. Upon completing his residency in 1996, he received his Doctor of Pharmacy. Since finishing his degree, Dr. Kriak has supplemented his credentials with certification from the Clinical Diabetes Educators program through Novo Nordisk and LifeScan, Inc.’s Pharmacy Partners in Diabetes Care course.
Professionally, Dr. John Kriak has dedicated the last 16 years to teaching, writing, and consulting. For Kaplan, Inc., he creates practice exams and educational documents for students studying for the National Dental Board Examination, the Medical College Admissions Test, the United States Medical Licensure Examination, and other exams. As Chief Executive Officer and President of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania, consultancy CAMMCO, LLC, Dr. Kriak consults with medical firms, businesses, and nonprofit organizations about clinical writing, program initiations, grant and institutional review board proposals, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for research trials. As a consultant at Goldblatt Systems, Dr. John Kriak concerns himself with developing state of the art electronic medical records systems featuring clinical decision support capability. He also serves on medical continuing education provider Dannemiller’s Educational Board and edits the company’s Pharmacy Journal Club while heading its pharmacy program.
A resident of Johnstown, Dr. John Kriak keeps active professional memberships in the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity, Phi Lambda Sigma, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s Performance Improvement Committee, and the American Diabetes Association. He also donates to the American Cancer Society, Inc.; the American Heart Association, Inc.; Food For The Poor, Inc.; and Saint Benedict Catholic Church.
